Audition slots open for our Gothic-inspired Halloween show

Audition slots are now open for our Gothic-inspired Halloween show, Tomes of Terror: Lenore! We’ll be presenting three original radio-drama adaptations: Edith Nesbit’s “Hurst of Hurstcote”, Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Premature Burial”, and Poe’s ”Hop Frog”. Besides voice actors we are looking for Foley (live sound-effects) performers and other crew positions. Details and links to the audition signup form and further information are on our Auditions page. Auditions themselves will be on August 7 and 8 and signing up for a slot in advance is strongly recommended.

Sound and Foley Class!

Have you ever wanted to create the sounds in a play? Perhaps you want to create the gunshots, horse hooves and window shatterings that abound in theater?
Well The Post-Meridian Radio Players are presenting a class on just that. Come by Responsible Grace Church on Saturday July 29th to find out if being a Sound Designer or a Foley artist is for you!

The show will also feature a reading of the poem “Lenore”.

This Friday at 8pm and Saturday at 2pm and 8pm, we’ll be reprising our Arisia performance of our gender-swapped interpretation of the clasisc Star Trek episode, “The Naked Time”. Note that this event is at Unity Somerville rather than Responsible Grace.

And next month between the 14th and 22d (at Responsible Grace Church) we’ll be presenting our summer mysteries for 2017, featuring original adaptations for radio-drama of Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes tale “A Scandal in Bohemia” and a gender-swapped version of Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Murders in the Rue Morgue”, considered by some the first modern detective story. You can buy tickets in advance or make a reservation on our tickets page. (The performance on Thursday, June 20th, is a pay-what-you-can performance.)
