Santa Claus Conquers the Martians! One weekend only!

Our original adaptation of the dubious Christmas classic Santa Claus Conquers the Martians was so much fun for us and the audiences last year that we’re doing it again! Performances are Friday, December 7, at 8pm, and Saturday, December 8, at 2pm and again at 8pm, all at Unity Somerville on College Ave in Davis Square. Come see the spirit of Christmas wrap the red planet in a green bow! See the plucky Earth children match wits with the curmudgeonly Voldar! See Dropo find his true calling! But will Santa be able to get back to Earth in time for Christmas Eve, or will Earth have to give him up? It’s the same radio-drama improvement of the old UHF standby, this year with live sound effects! Tickets (or reservations, if you want to buy your ticket at the show) are available on our tickets page, and our event page has more information.

Follow-Up Statement Re: Arisia Convention Performances

We at the Post-Meridian Radio Players have been closely following and discussing the steps that the Arisia leadership have been taking in recent days to repair their relationship with their fans and collaborators,. We recognize the changes in Executive Board membership and are encouraged by the ongoing policy review, as well as pleased that the 2019 convention location has been changed in support of the striking workers of the Westin Boston Waterfront. After careful consideration, we have come to the belief that the changes made thus far are meaningful, sincere, and executed in good faith. (Read more for the rest of our statement.)

Public Statement Re: Arisia Convention Performances

We at the Post-Meridian Radio Players are committed to supporting Crystal Huff following her bringing to light the deeply upsetting actions taken by Arisia leadership to shield and promote her assailant.

As a performance group, we have long appreciated our working relationship with the Arisia convention. That relationship ends immediately, unless the called-for changes in leadership take place. (Read more for the rest of our statement.)
